1. 750 ml is a measure of volume, ounces is a measure of mass or weight. So you’d need to know the density of whatever you had 750 ml of to do a conversion.

Now sometimes lazy people talk about ounces when they really mean fluid ounces. A fluid ounce is a unit of volume.

Well actually it’s two different units of volume. The US fluid ounce is equivalent to 29.57 ml and the Imperial fluid ounce (not used so much now) is 28.41 ml.

So if you really meant fluid ounces, just pick which variant of fluid ounce you want and divide 750 by either 29.57 or 28.41.

2. Well, it’s almost but not quite, 1/5 gallon, as 750 ml bottles of wine are what used to BE “fifths,” and are still referred to as such.

Given that 1 gallon = 128 fl oz, and 1/5 gal = 25.6, then 750 ml is just shy of that…25 oz, give or take 0.5 oz.

(Just checked my guess, and 750 ml actually is 25.361 fl oz. So my guesstimate was pretty close.)
